I have moved to Dallas from the Tyler area.
Thanks for the web hook up. Dallas radio is the pits! I
really miss not being able to get you or KKUS on my car
radio. Keep up the good work.
She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm
feeling low down And when I come to her when the sun goes
down Take away my trouble, take away my grief Take away my
heartache, in the night like a thief Yes I need her in the
daytime Yes I need her in the night Yes I want to throw my
arms around her Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight And
when I'm returning from so far away She gives me some sweet
lovin' brighten up my day Yes it makes me righteous, yes it
makes me feel whole Yes it makes me mellow down in to my
soul She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love She give
me love, love, love, love, crazy love...
I love the station, I only have one
complaint.. The tag line, "if you remember___________, then
you are our kind of listener" Essentially you are saying "If
you are old. Then this is for you." I'm 20. I hate the
modern pop music (crap) my generation listens to. I'm not
into drugs, sex, or glamorizing dry humping other people in
clubs. Maybe I'm being harsh.. But I guess what I'm getting
at is you could say what you are trying to, without
insulting the young.
EXCELLENT JOB!!
Love the station! I listening my way to work in the morning.
Listen while I am at my desk in my iPhone using the internet
(my work
blocks Internet radio on work computers). I love the mix
that you have. I am not a fan of Chicken Man but I know the
value of the comedy
and I am sure that there are others that enjoy it. Sometimes
it gives me a smile, especially when the secretary calls the
commissioner
and he answers "yes I am.". My only request would be to
change the time that it is played either before 7:30 or
after 8 because that's
during my drive time in the mornings. I also liked the
managers report tonight. It's the reason that I am writing
now and was very
informative.
I'm impressed-- there is nothing on the air in the Milwaukee
market (AM or FM) that comes even close.
Awesome!
Great work, keep it up and don't change a thing.
Love the station..........Listen when driving and at
home..........I get so much news everywhere else that it is
nice to listen without
it on your station....and the commercials are kept to a
minimum..............thanks
You are a great station I love to listen , you are one of
the best stations in east Texas
I am 42 years old and I very much enjoy the station. It
takes me back to music that I grew up listening to with my
parents. Great music!
Keep up the good work.
I love hearing the oldies from the 1950s especially, and it
makes great background music to doing my chores.
I always listen to this station, its such a relaxing change
from most of the typical radio fare in East Texas. Takes me
back in time. I
wouldn't want to lose it or change a whole lot about it.
Thanks
I really do enjoy this station .Just wish you would improve
the internet stream.
Great station. Always listen on my computer & in my car.
It's a wonderful station - There's nothing else like it.
Even large cities like Dallas and Houston have nothing like
it. When I leave
the area the one thing I miss is "my" radio station. I play
it in my antique mall and get LOTS of favorable comments and
I hear people
singing along to the songs! You do a great job - Even
Chicken Man has grown on me!!
It is a very refreshing change from most of what is on FM
music station. Please keep up the good work
I listen to it all the time
great station
Love it! Up you Transmission power signal so we can get it
all the time on broadcast.
I listen on the way to work and on the way home and enjoy
the "down time" it gives me. Would it be possible to list the
songs and artists
on a daily basis? Maybe on the website? I would love to
download some of the songs from Itunes.
I am a 54 year old classic rock listener that began
listening to your station after hearing several familiar
tunes from the 60's. Your
music brings back many good memories of life during my youth
and the music that my parents listened to during the day. I
really enjoy
the television and movie theme music that you play. I have
found that listening to your station keeps me calm during a
hectic business
day. Your format is very refreshing and is sincerely
enjoyed.
Enjoy it!
Please no soft rock. Still, yours is the best station
in NE Texas, I was delighted when you went to higher
transmit power. I
can usually get KZQX now on the car radio, & usually on my
best portable radio. This is the north end of Lone Star, TX.
Overall you guys are bang on. I just wish you weren't simply
a pre-recorded, voice tracked one of a hundred operations.
Yes, there are
many. The format (from experience and current close
observation) is needed and wanted. And not just by aged
folks in the retirement
home. Fortunately you don't come across as such, a
compliment. More thoughts? Yes. I tried to call, but alas
got a machine... it was
either a toaster or an answering machine... I suspect the
latter. I'll try again later. Keep up the good work. Make it
better by doing
more, not different. That's a back-handed compliment ;-) And
people will accept commercials without question as long as
they're not
over-bearing or too numerous. Everyone accepts that bills
have to be paid. Don't have commercials, find a supporter to
believes in what
you're doing. There's a wonderful not-too-long explanation
of this. Do yourself a favor and give it a view. Using this
philosophy you'd
be blown away by what some low-power or internet only
operations have been able to get. http://youtu.be/qp0HIF3SfI4
Since KTBB changed their FM format, I am all over the band,
looking for either good music or syndicated stuff now
missing such as Dave
Ramsey, Clark Howard, etc. Perhaps this is an opportunity
for you. I listen when I'm driving; that's it. Anyway, I
really like some of
your format, especially few commercials and "some" of the music.
But I find myself changing to another station, even KRLD
when drab big-band or
old dragging 30's music is on. I would say the probability
of my listening to a music selection is about 30%. So, 70%
of the time when I
land on QX, I move-on to something else. Otherwise, I like
what you're doing.
I have QX-FM music station on both my vehicles and on my
computer as well as my portable radio. Little needs to be
said that we enjoy
you music. But I have a tendency to lean toward country
music, so I would like to hear more songs by singers like:
Eddy Arnold, ,Roy
Orbison, Jim Reeves, Conway Twitty. Charley Pride, Ray Price
Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn
Really, current format is great, as is - so really wouldn't
want to change much, if anything. It's a unique format and
unique station -
please don't mess it up! If anything, would lean toward
hearing more 50's, and earlier - from Andrew's Sisters to
Big Band/Swing, into
the early days of rock in 50's, DooWop, into early 60's etc.
No interest in "Flower Power" 60's stuff, hard rock, disco,
or later. Would
like to hear more of the original artist songs, vs the cover
versions I've heard fairly often - but the cover versions
have been VG, so
they're fine as well. We have nothing like your station in
the region, within 300+ miles (I have audiophile tuners and
large FM yagi
antennas, atop a mountain in W. NC). I have DX'd FM stations
from all over North America in the last 30 yrs, and don't
recall ever
hearing anything like your station. Unfortunately, never
picked up your station over-the-air (internet only) - but
I'll take it anyway I
can get it! Thanks, and keep up the fantastic work! I pass
on your station URL link to all my friends, so they can
listen as well. Best
Regards,
Really like it. I do like news, but not much from the main
street media. Offbeat but usually more accurate. Great
music, though!
Great station! Sometimes my connection on my smartphone with
Tune In is not consistent but could be due to my phone
service (it does
this on other stations).
I love every song and don't mind the few advertising. When
you have a good thing going don't change. Love your
style.......keep up the
good work.....
it is amazing i never would have learned of these older
songs if not for you
get rid of the chicken episodes, they are just stupid
I've just discovered QX-FM...I love it!! My answers to the
above questions aren't a good representation because I've
just been listening
a few days...since moving to Tyler. LOVE IT...THANKS!!
I live about 15-20 miles west of Tyler and cannot pick up
your station except on rare occasions. I am in Tyler almost
every day and I
tune in while I'm here. Just keep on doing what you're
doing.
i love your station
I listen to you from far away Penang and it feels my home
with such wonderful music. Thank you
Fantastic radio station here in Longview. Longview's bumper
sticker slogan in the 70's to promote tourism was "Lucky Me,
I live in
Longview." In the second decade of the 21st Century that
slogan should be revived because of QX. Keep up the great
work you do plus your
KXAL's LP stations.
On the whole, your station is very refreshing. I look
forward to hearing Stardate and other such programs.
Awesome
Great Station!
Please don't change anything. Don't tamper with perfection.
It would be too easy to try and broaden your listener base
but it would be
to the detriment of what you have now. A great radio station
for the community. Please don't change!
Increase the power of your station!
Great station! Found you by chance... Now me and two friends
have presets on your station. Keep up the good work!
Love the Sunday morning praise!
Wish you would add a few more up-beat "early" Elvis.....and
a little more doo-wop songs.... Definitely repeating "Standin'
On The
Corner:, "Freight Train" and "Love & Marriage" too
much.....(Just my opinion). Surely, you ARE MY VERY FAVORITE
BY A LONG SHOT! KEEP UP
THE GREAT OLD SONGS!
Love, love it! Love the music! Love the star date too among
other things. So glad you're on the air!
I like the station jingles with a '60s sound; MOR artists
from the '60s like Steve Lawrence, Andy Williams, Petula
Clark; those old
Chickenman serials from the '60s. Would also like to hear
some of the long lost MOR hits like "Invisible Tears" by Ray
Conniff, "Wish Me
A Rainbow" by Gunter Kallman, or "L David Sloane" by Michele
Lee - songs you don't hear anywhere anymore.
Stop airing Chicken Man !
Well done...Sure, I could give you an opinion on what you
might to better, but I know a little about
programming...You're doing a
pop/hits-adult standards format that's got some of the
older-fashioned integrity, without sounding stodgy. Your's
is one of the rarest
of breeds, and it sounds very good. I wish you all the
success in the world.
I like your station precisely because it IS such a change
from the standard fare, and I can hear older music I cannot
find elsewhere. I
would like to hear perhaps a little more variety to the
playlist, and maybe some way for us to see online the title
and artist currently
playing. But these are minor points. I very much enjoy your
station and listen pretty much daily here in Boston,
Massachusetts.
Thanks for bringing back Chickenman. I
hadn't heard it since it was on AFN in Viet Nam. It
was one of the few bright spots in our day.
By far, the very BEST mix of my favorite music ever!
I love the station the way it is. I really enjoyed the
reports on the stars that that lady would give.
I'm 23 years old, and I LOVE listening to this station! Good
job! Keep it up!
I like the station a lot. Its the only station I listen to
in the car unless the reception is bad. I live in west
Tyler. If you guys
could improve/add towers in that direction I'd be happy!
Have been listing to your station for a number of years.
Listen every day at work. Have recommended you to many people
who also enjoy
your station.
Yours is the only music radio station that I listen to.
I love hearing Chickenman again!
I have been in New York the past few months and I love
listening on the internet. I never hesitate to tell people
about your website.
Your fan base is growing. You are right when you say, "your
our kind of listener."
Greatest station I have ever listened to, please do not
change a thing.
I heard this station in an office and asked about it. I
thought maybe I would listen "here and there", when in the
mood. Well, I must
say, I have not moved the dial at all! The songs bring back
memories of my mother singing along with the radio and
records when I was
young (I'm 65). I have heard songs that I had forgotten
about.
I adore it. I live in Wisconsin and listen through iTunes at
work 6-7 hours per day. I feel like a Kilgore resident after
the past
several months, and feel I should be patronizing your
advertisers, even from afar. Please stay the way you are
(and I truly hope you are
profitable with this format).
I love your station. I listen to it everyday from 1 pm until
6 pm. Having lived in Kilgore for 20 years, the wife's
family is still in
Kilgore (still read the Kilgore News Herald on line). Still
up there 5-6 times a year.
On the whole VERY positive. Breath of fresh air would be an
understatement. This music is very important to our culture
and national
heritage. Thanks for keeping it for us!!
I really enjoy listening while I sit on my patio or go
swimming. It is very relaxing after a hard day working at
the hospital and being
able to relax sure makes a difference. I enjoy hearing all
the older songs that a lot of them I remember from growing up
in the 50s and
60. Keep up the good work.
Keep it up! I can't work at my computer without QX-FM!
Love the station, needs to move down to Houston TX.
If it's not broke, don't fix it. I like it just the way it
is and only change stations when you play gospel music. Keep
the church in
the church. There are many people of different faiths
listening! Reception is outstanding.
Wish I could get y'all on the radio hear in Palestine. Thanx
for keeping this music out there.
I really enjoy your mix of music please keep up the good
work!
Love it!
Excellent variety.
Only thing I can add is please keep up the great work. I
listen at work, I listen at home, and if I could just train
my computer to turn
you on like an alarm clock I would wake up to you!! In other
words I love the station.
I really enjoy your station and listen all day in my office.
My mother provided me with a wide variety of music as a
child...I think of
her when I listen to QX-FM. Thanks for the memories!!
Love the oldies and the gospel music.
It's really an excellent FM Radio Station. Just Keep up the
good work.
You guys are really unique. Only station around that plays
swing, jazz and popular songs from the 50's. Thanks!
I tune to KZQX when I am in Dallas because of the nearly
continuous music in a genre that I like. As a matter of
fact, I tune in to
avoid the afternoon infomercial talk on KAAM. I would listen
during all of the workday except that my iPhone battery
limits my listening
time to three or four hours. I like the KZQX iPhone app, but
I would like for it to continue running in the background so
I can check an
email or receive a phone call without having to reestablish
the stream. I would also like to see the "Now Playing"
feature to be
functional. BTW my responses should carry the weight of an
infrequent listener vs. those of listeners from the
station's primary listening area.
Excellent station and format - don't change anything except
maybe add a little more power!!
Don't mess with the music it is great. Less sports and less
talk stuff would be better
