Lake Cherokee Library News

Many visitors to the Lake Cherokee Library have expressed appreciation for the efforts and work of the volunteers to improve and maintain our library.  So thank you to our regular volunteers: Melba Blitch, Sue Coleman, Judy Colwell, Bobby Gosschalk, Edith Keeton, Jean Lee, Joan Porter, Bettie Ross, Wylene Smith, Carol Staiti, Marsha Warren, Linnie Weeden and new volunteers Claudette Little and Linda Fowler.  Thanks also to the volunteer substitutes, the shareholders who donate books and to those who visit regularly.

We have a growing selection of fiction including large-print books, biographies, history, science, religion, audio books, movies and children's books.  No library card is required nor is there a limit on number of books or time borrowed.

The library will me closed during the Christmas and New Years holidays, but is normally open from 1-4 each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  If you are interested in joining the volunteers (3 hours each month or just occasionally), contact Wanda Wallace at 643-0540.
